"Anything Is Possible"

Wouter Dorissen is 34, married for almost a year and lives in Helchteren with his wife and dog. A good friend would describe Wouter as creative and social, a person who goes after what he wants with an unstoppable drive that rarely slows down. That drive comes from a belief he carries with him every day: everything is possible and you can achieve what you want. Even the most powerful people in the world are, in the end, just human.

"From Getting to Giving"

At 34 Wouter is proud of the person he has become: a strong network, a company that is doing well, a life that feels right. But he is not done growing and he is still just as motivated to become a more impactful version of himself.

What changed things for him was discovering the idea of noble purpose, moving from a money mindset to a purpose mindset. It gave him energy and helped him make some hard choices he had been putting off. Along the way he also learned something less comfortable about himself: everything he builds eventually turns into a system, a repeatable process and for him that becomes dull. He noticed that more is never quite enough, so instead of chasing more to feel happy, he is learning to be happy with what he already has and to shift his focus from getting to giving.

"Impact Starts Close to Home"

For Wouter, real impact starts small and close to home. He believes it comes down to human connection: giving something to other people, connecting with them and helping them grow or feel happier. That is the one thing, he says, that actually makes you bigger and happier yourself. He wants to start in his own village, Helchteren, hoping that if everyone made their direct environment just a little better, the whole world would change.

To stay balanced, Wouter keeps it simple: enough sleep, staying active and being mindful. He knows what happens when he doesn't, since it's just as easy for him to slip into too many nights out.

"Finding Purpose Through Mentorship"

Through his mentoring journey with Young Leaders – Inspiring Mentors, Wouter is getting closer to his noble purpose; one that's still taking shape, but already guiding the direction of his life. For him, meaningful mentorship means making real connections and learning from those who have walked the path ahead, gaining wisdom to accelerate his personal growth.
