The era of uncertainties and constant changes we are living in is a source of challenges but, above all, it brings many opportunities. In this context, taking into account your personnal, professionnal, societal aspirations and the impact you want to have can very quickly turn into a complex exercise. That's why benefiting from strong mentor experience and guidance is a key asset for making thoughtful and meaningful choices and get your focus right. That's exactly what Evelyne provided for me.
In our first meeting we experienced a natural fit. Evelyne’s experience, her personality and her values were directly resonating with mine and we quickly got into very open discussions and deeper reflection on career, personal choices and daily challenges. She was there when I needed support.
I did not really know how to start the interaction with my mentor but we established clear objectives for the program within a set time frame. We talked about topics beyond work and career.
All along the journey, her successful entrepreneurial adventure and drive has been inspiring. The choices Evelyne has made resonated a lot with my own path and, as a mentee, I was amazed at how great the matching was done by Greet and Olivier.
Talking about the program would not be complete without mentioning the community of young leaders; there are as many stories, profiles and inspirational personalities as there are participants.
The first thing that striked me was how easily we connected with the community despite very few opportunities to meet due to the pandemic situation. The diversity of leaders in this program is another added value: musicians, athletes, entrepreneurs or talented managers, each and every one brings a unique contribution. As with the Evelyne, the exchange with the community of young leaders offer a new perspective which colleagues or family simply cannot give you..
The learnings of the program will certainly stay with me for years. Thanks a lot for the opportunity and congratulations Greet and Olivier: in the turbulent times we are living in YL-IM is a true gift for reflecting on yourself and the impact you want to have with exceptional mentors and young leaders.
